The Rev. John Raphael tells a cheering crowd of supporters Wednesday evening that he will remain on the job as president of St. Augustine High School in defiance of a weekend order from his religious community that recalled him to Baltimore at the school at 2600 AP Tureaud Blvd, Wednesday June 8, 2011.
RISE UP: Dorchester Mass.", which houses Dorchester Academy and TechBoston High School, was chosen to be a project in the ESPN series “RISE UP Powered by EAS.” The announcement was made Friday afternoon at an assembly held on the steps of the school.
As part of the show, “RISE UP” crew and area businesses will renovate the schools’ athletic facilities, including the playing fields...


RISE UP: WELLSTON, Ohio -- At 1:35 p.m. Wednesday Wellston High School students began to file into their gymnasium for their last-day-of-school assembly. Thirty minutes later they had more than the start of summer to be excited about.
Producers and participants in the ESPN series "RISE UP Powered by EAS" announced to the students and staff that Wellston had been chosen as the show's next project and that they will be renovating the school’s athletic facilities...


Sept. 21 2010-  St. Martin Brown and ESPN help Eleanor Mcmain Rise Up.  
RISE UP: New Orleans, La." debuted in September 2010 on ESPN. The documentary chronicled the transformation of the athletic facilities of Eleanor McMain Secondary School in New Orleans. McMain was the first public school to re-open after Hurricane Katrina, nearly four months after the storm devastated the city in August 2005. Rats ran around the gym, equipment was broken and the locker rooms had no showers. That was before a two-week makeover made possible by contractors and local businesses...

On June 21 skateboarders around the globe will celebrate the pure exhilaration, creativity, and spirit of one of the most influential activities in the world by blowing off all other obligations to go skateboarding. OK, most skateboarders do this every day of their lives, but this is just one more reason to blow off your television/computer/video games and go skateboarding.
July. 30 2011-  "National Dance Day"
No matter if you Charleston, Beenie Weenie, Cupid shuffle, this will be the day to show off your moves. If you are riding in the elevator, wearing a suit,starched shirt and tie; breakout and do the running man. The other riders just might join you. As part of the "Get Out and Move" movement organizers are encouraging you to Walk, Run, or Dance. check out the video link below, the nursing community gets it.
 06.06.11- New Orleans Public Schools Offer Free Breakfast, Lunch and Swimming to it's kids.
Applause to Mayor Mitch Landrieu and his partners for thinking of our kids this summer. In the past, summers have always raised the same questions for our kids " what is there to do this summer?". Here is the answer. 
12 New Orleans Pools have open up to provide a cool relief to a hot day. Now Combine that with the Mayor's "No Kid Hungry" program, which will provide free breakfast and lunch at 25 local schools, and you have the makings of a great summer. Parent may never see their kids during the day.

 08.08.11- "RISE UP " renovations revealed at Wellston High School
More than two months after Wellston (Wellston, Ohio) received the news that their athletic facilities would be upgraded by the EPSN series “RISE UP,” the town was able to view the crew’s work.
The renovations of the Golden Rockets football field left some speechless.
“When I walked in I was anxious, I was a little nervous but it was an excited nervous ... I really cannot describe how I feel tonight because I never dreamed that this could look this way,” Wellston superintendant Karen Boch said.

Inside a buzzing locker room at Ingraham High School (Seattle), the internal impact of remodeled athletic facilities was already strikingly apparent. 
Just after the reveal of Ingraham’s remodel, which was part of the ESPN series “RISE UP,” amped football players flooded the Ingraham locker room with their new helmets and uniforms, gushing in excitement, ready to play anybody.

Hundreds of students, faculty, coaches and administrators gather together to witness the unveiling of the refurbished athletic facilities constructed as part of the ESPN series, “RISE Up.”

Nearly two months after Principle Robert McMiller announced Dyett was one of four schools selected for makeovers, the key participants of the program, including co-hosts Chris Spielman and Deanne Bell, returned for the debut of the makeover.

2.10.12- SMB+A  is set to host the first of  it's 4 Seasonal
Artist showcase at the loft. Working in conjunction with local Louisiana artist Jerome Ford and Kenneth Scott Jr. we will stage and help highlight their latest works. 

The Event, which is scheduled for 6:30 p.m on Febuaray 3, 2012 will serve a dual purpose.

First to introduce SMB+A  in it's newest location to our warehouse district neighbors.Secondly and most important, to show off some of the sheer creative talent Louisiana has to offer.
Invitations will be mailed out shortly to a few of  out clients, friends and family, but all will be welcome to come view, discuss and purchase any piece which grabs your attention.
